How big can a label be?
We can manufacture a continuous label strip up to 1200 mm long by 600 mm high — this is the maximum sheet size available from stock. For longer runs we provide the strip in precision-matched sections for seamless installation.
Traffolyte — Designed for electrical & industrial applications
Traffolyte (multi‑layer phenolic engraving stock) was originally developed for the electrical industry for long‑life, permanent identification of switches and switchboards. Today the material and the engraved labelling technique remain the industry standard for many industrial uses including:

- Signage and even craft applications
Material evolution: Traditional phenolic Traffolyte provided excellent contrast and durability, but phenolic dust is now considered a health risk. Modern alternatives using ABS and other safer formulations deliver the same or better long‑term results. Industry‑recognised engraving stocks such as Gravoply, Rowmark and other 2‑ply/3‑ply materials are now the preferred replacements, offering improved safety and weatherability.
